The Central Bank plans to change the basic MTPL tariffs and coefficients for them from August 31. The regulator prescribed this date in the draft instructions on the basic rates of MTPL tariffs.
According to Vedomosti , which has read a copy of the document, the draft Central Bank does not indicate the amounts of the minimum and maximum base rates of compulsory motor insurance policies, territorial coefficients and coefficients depending on the age and experience of the driver. Their size is yet to be determined by the Central Bank. The Central Bank proposes to leave the current bonus-malus and engine power coefficients the same.
So far, the Central Bank has twice changed the MTPL tariffs - and both times they grew. The last time the Central Bank raised them was in April 2015. Now the cost of compulsory motor liability insurance is calculated from the base tariff from 3432 to 4118 rubles. adjusted for region, engine power, experience and age of the driver, as well as the so-called bonus-malus coefficient - it provides discounts for accident-free driving and, conversely, premiums for getting into accidents. The Central Bank does not intend to change this system.
