In Penza, the Chamber of Lawyers issued a reprimand to the former lawyer of the person involved in the Network case
The Penza Chamber of Advocates issued a reprimand to Mikhail Grigoryan, the former lawyer of the person involved in the Network case, Ilya Shakursky. This is reported by Mediazona with reference to the mother of the accused.
The Chamber considered only Grigoryan's commentary to NTV channel for the propaganda film "Dangerous Network" to be a violation. The rest of the claims against Grigoryan were considered unfounded by the chamber.
In her statement, Shakursky's mother, Elena Bogatova, asked that Grigoryan be brought to disciplinary responsibility because of his gross violation of lawyer ethics.
“Despite the absence of my permission and the lack of permission of his client, without our consent he used the information communicated to him in his unethical interpretation for the defender, acted contrary to the legitimate interests of the principal, took a position on the case opposite to the position of the principal, and acted against his will, made public statements about the proof of the guilt of the principal, despite its denial ... ”, the woman’s statement said.
A reprimand is the mildest possible punishment for lawyers. For violation of the lawyer's ethics, the lawyers' chamber can issue a warning or even deprive the lawyer of the status.
