Three defendants in the Baring Vostok case, a partner of the Vagan Abgaryan Foundation, the investment director of Ivan Zyuzin and the General Director of the First Collection Bureau Maxim Vladimirov, after a year, were transferred to the pre -trial detention center, Interfax said .

The Baring Vostok case began in February 2019. According to investigators, the founder of the Foundation Michael Kalvi and other defendants stole at Vostochny bank, whose shareholder is Baring Vostok, about 2.5 billion rubles.
Michael Kalvi and the former head of Vostochny left the pre -trial detention center in April 2019, Baring Vostok partner Philip Delpal in August. At the end of December 2019, the investigation re -qualified the charge from part 4 of Article 159 (fraud) for part 4 of Article 160 (embezzlement).
Baring Vostok defense has repeatedly complained that the defendants remaining in the pre -trial detention center did not allow their relatives for several months. The petitions for transferring them to house arrest were submitted several times.
“The Moscow City Court finally heard the arguments of the lawyers and made the only right decision. <...> However, we note that even being under house arrest, our colleagues are hostages of a commercial conflict, which raiders are still trying to solve a far -fetched criminal case to provide pressure on their former partners. We intend to fight further to prove the complete innocence of our colleagues and the absurdity of the accusations. ”
