I am extremely grateful that we managed to reach a humane settlement of the issue with the US authorities, and I regret what happened, ”Tinkov emphasized.
On Friday, October 29, a Northern California court approved the settlement agreement between Tinkov and the US tax authorities, RBC reports with reference to the decision of Judge John Tygar, made at a court hearing, which was broadcast on Zoom. The judge noted that he considers a sentence without a real term acceptable because of Tinkov's medical condition - if he was sentenced, the businessman could die in prison. During the year, the billionaire will be under supervision.
