What is it like to be a queer person and a person of color in Russia?
People have many identities. For example, ethnic identity (I am Sakha, I am Buryat:ka), gender identity (I am a woman, I am a man, I am a non-binary person), associated with sexual preferences (I am heterosexual:na, I am queer). When we begin to notice how many different identities and experiences people have, we take the first step toward understanding how Russia's system of oppression and invisibility works.
