The Bishops' Council opened in Moscow
The three-day Council of Bishops, timed to coincide with the second anniversary of the enthronement of Patriarch Kirill, opened on Wednesday in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. The presidium of the cathedral included bishops heading the Russian Church in Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Latvia, Kazakhstan, Crimea and Azerbaijan, as well as the chairman of the Synod of Bishops of the Russian Church Abroad.
