1389 Battle of Kosovo Field
625 years ago, on June 15, 1389, on the Kosovo field (now the territory of the Republic of Kosovo), the battle of the Turks with the united army of Serbs and Bosnians began (the Knights Hospitallers were also in the ranks of the latter). The next day it ended with a complete victory for the Turks. In the battle, the commander of the Turkish army, Sultan Murad I, and the commander of the united army, the Serbian prince Lazar, were killed.
