Shortage of Ozempic and its analogues has led to increased demand for uncertified copies
The popularity of drugs containing semaglutide as an active ingredient, such as Ozempic and Vegovi, has led to a shortage of them on the market and an explosion in sales of their uncertified copies, the Financial Times reports . Such drugs are produced on the basis of the same active substance, but not by pharmaceutical companies, but by specialized, so-called "production" pharmacies.
