Convicted police major Pyotr Stakhovtsev, sentenced to death in 1991 for murder and banditry and denied parole, was deprived of bed rest in a colony, his lawyer Dmitry Dinze told Mediazona. According to him, on March 21, 2016, an appeal was filed against the judge’s decision denying parole to Pyotr Stakhovtsev. After an application addressed to the head of IK-1, which contained a request for a cane and oilcloth for his bed, Stakhovtsev was deprived of bed rest.
