Thomas, a 40-year-old bisexual goose, has died in New Zealand. He spent more than half his life with a black swan
In New Zealand, the long-lived goose Thomas, who had been in a relationship with a black swan for half his life, and in his old age helped other birds, despite health problems, died. This was announced in early February by the Wellington Bird Rehabilitation Center. Thomas was about 40 years old. Thomas renounced the society of his kinsmen in his youth, choosing the black swan Henry as his partner. Together they spent about 18 years.
