Russia's gold and foreign exchange reserves reach their highest level in five years
As of April 1, 2019, Russia's gold and foreign exchange reserves (GFR) amounted to $487.8 billion, according to the website of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation. This is the maximum level of Russian gold reserves over the past five years. As of April 1, 2014, they amounted to 486 billion dollars, as of March 1, 2014 - 493.3 billion. Over five years, the share of gold in the structure of gold reserves has doubled - from 8.9% to 18.5%.
