The US Securities and Exchange Commission decided to recover more than 200 thousand dollars from actor Steven Seagal, who moved to Russia.
A district court in New York has allowed the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to seek the recovery of more than $200,000 from Hollywood actor Steven Seagal. It is reported by Bloomberg. The SEC accuses Seagal of hiding the proceeds from advertising of the cryptocurrency Bitcoiin2Gen. The actor promoted Bitcoiin2Gen in 2018 and, according to the SEC, received $157,000 for it. In 2020, Segal reached an agreement on the dispute with the SEC.
