The Tbilisi City Court sentenced Bek Jaini, accused of the murder of a transgender woman, Caesarea Abramidze, writes Echo of the Caucasus. Jaini found guilty of intentional murder, perfect with particular cruelty and based on intolerance associated with the gender identity of the victim, as well as in systematic beating for the same reasons. Jaiani himself was not present at the announcement of the sentence, but sent a letter with repentance in his deed.
