The head of the ancient archeology department of the Hermitage, Alexander Butyagin, was detained in Poland at the request of Ukraine, writes the local publication RMF. According to journalists, Butyagin ended up in Warsaw during a trip from the Netherlands to the Balkans. As it turned out, Kyiv is looking for the scientist for “conducting illegal archaeological searches in Crimea.” After interrogation by the Warsaw prosecutor's office, the court arrested the archaeologist for 40 days.
