Roskomnadzor, at the request of the General Prosecutor's Office of Russia, blocked access to the website of the German publication Die Welt. As noted in Roskomnadzor, this was done "in accordance with the regulations for blocking sites containing calls for riots, extremism, participation in illegal mass stakes." Die Welt (the name translates as "world") - a daily newspaper that has been in Germany since 1946. The circulation of a paper edition is more than 250 thousand copies.
