An interactive survey conducted by TRC "Petersburg" following the results of the round table dedicated to the fight against totalitarian organizations showed that the majority of St. Petersburg residents are in favor of a legislative ban on the activities of "sects".

On April 14, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Ryazan diocese and the administration of the Ryazan region. The document was signed by Metropolitan of Ryazan and Kasimov Simon (Novikov) and Governor Vyacheslav Lyubimov. The agreement provides for the provision of assistance to low-income people who find themselves in a difficult situation, for which conditions will be created on the territory of the St. John the Theologian Monastery of the diocese for their temporary residence.

On April 11, Tolyatti hosted a round table "Interaction between authorities and religious organizations in achieving social harmony and preserving national spiritual traditions", which was attended by representatives of the regional administration, the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation and the Internal Affairs Directorate for the Samara Region, religious scholars, Orthodox and Muslim clergymen .

The speaker of the upper house of parliament, Sergei Mironov, said that the Federation Council intends to submit amendments to the Land Code to the State Duma on April 23, providing for the transfer of land occupied by Orthodox churches to the free use of the Russian Orthodox Church.
