Religious leaders are against the re-establishment of the State Council for Religious Affairs
On November 23, at a meeting with clergy attending advanced training courses at the RAGS, Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Rus' once again spoke out against the restoration of the state Council for Religious Affairs, which was liquidated 15 years ago. "Today, if necessary, we meet with the president, talk on the phone, with any ministers, and the Council on Religion will take over these functions and will not let anyone in," the patriarch said.
