On November 21, 2007, a court in the city of Belovo, Kemerovo Region, sentenced 50-year-old Alexander Nikolaenko, an activist from The Other Russia, to 2 years and 6 months of strict regime for speaking at a rally near the FSB headquarters in Belovo, in which he called on law enforcement agencies to "deal with a bunch of extremists in face of Putin, Deripaska and Abramovich". Initially, Nikolaenko was charged under Part 2 of Art.
