On August 6, 2008, it became known that "based on the materials of an audit conducted by the prosecutor's office of the Republic of Dagestan, a criminal case was initiated against Nadira Isaeva, editor-in-chief of the Chernovik newspaper, under part 2 of article 280 and part 1 of article 282 of the Criminal Code. We have already written about the caution and warning given to the Dagestan newspaper Chernovik in July of this year.

No less than 11 racially-motivated attacks were registered in the month of July 2008 in Russia, resulting in at least one dead and 15 injured. All these attacks occurred in the Moscow and St. Petersburg regions, which, as before, remain the main centers of violence. In all, since the beginning of the year 276 people suffered as a result of racist and neo-Nazi attacks in 26 regions of Russia, out of whom 60 perished.

In early August 2008, the Ministry of Justice of Russia, which , since May 12, has been in charge of maintaining the federal list of extremist materials . Published a new edition of this list, adding positions Nos. 152-219 to it. Thus, as of August 6, 2008, the list includes 219 items (actually 213, because six materials are included in the list twice (under NN93 and 122, NN64 and 170, NN72 and 171, NN86 and 212, NN89 and 216 and NN90 and 218).

In order to adequately assess the role of experts in the competitive process, it is necessary to consider the specifics of their activities from different angles. It seems that a full-fledged approval of the status of an expert as an independent procedural subject is impossible without an integrated approach, a harmonious combination of the legal and ethical components of this profession.
