On March 23, in the Industrial District Court of Khabarovsk, a trial began in the case of Vladislav Radchenko, a teacher at the Far Eastern State Industrial and Economic College, who refused to certify believing students. He is charged with part 2 of article 136 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of a person and a citizen, depending on his attitude to religion, committed by a person using his official position).

On March 24, 2009, the trial in the case of the leaders of the Khabarovsk branch of the Union of the Russian People, Pavel Onoprienko and Viktor Chulkin, was resumed in the court of the Central District of Khabarovsk. The criminal case was initiated under Art. 280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public calls for extremist activities). Also, P. Onoprienko and V. Chulkin are charged with Art.

On March 24, 2009, the administration of the VKontakte.ru website closed access to 41 groups "propagating national and racial hatred." The day before, the Moscow branch of the YABLOKO party appealed to the site administration with a request to block access to these groups, as "inciting ethnic hatred and violating the law and the rules of the site." Some groups from the list have been removed, some have been blocked and are being checked by administrators for violations of site rules.

On March 22, 2009, in Nizhny Novgorod, members of the Movement Against Illegal Immigration (DPNI) were detained and taken to the Leninsky district police station, who were distributing leaflets calling for the creation of national self-defense groups. After 4 hours, the detainees were released. Employees of the Center for Combating Extremism and the FSB held a preventive conversation with them.

The case of a 20-year-old resident of the city, who on November 2, 2008 placed a dummy explosive device near the building of the local synagogue, was sent to the Kuibyshev Court of Omsk. He was charged under Article 207 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (knowingly false report of an act of terrorism). According to the investigation, the defendant himself made a fake explosive device, brought it to the synagogue building and informed the police about the planted bomb.

On March 24, 2009, the Kanash inter-district investigative department of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Chuvashia opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The suspect in the case is a 35-year-old resident of the Kanashsky district, who is a member of the Russian National Union (RONS).
