An Islamic rehabilitation center for drug addicts has been set up in Ufa. It is designed for 10 people who have previously undergone a course of medical treatment. The center operates within the framework of an agreement between the republican department of the Federal Drug Control Service and the Central Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia.

In early August 2009, a criminal case against a group of young people, two of whom are minors, accused of murdering a Tajik citizen motivated by ethnic hatred in October 2008, was sent to the Novosibirsk Regional Court. On August 10, 2009, the Kirovsky District Court of Ufa ruled that the website of the "National Socialist Movement of the Ufa Province" (www.national-socialist.tk/, mirror - www.newp.org/nazi/) was extremist materials. The court's decision directed the sites to be included on the Federal List of Extremist Materials . Earlier, the prosecutor's office of Ufa conducted a check on the publication of materials on these sites.

On July 18, the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Alexander Avdeev issued an order approving “the preparation of the transfer of movable property for religious purposes from the funds of the Ryazan Historical and Architectural Museum-Reserve to the non-profit cultural institution “Church Historical and Archaeological Museum of the Ryazan Diocese”.
