The case of five people accused of collaborating with Hizb ut-Tahrir has been transferred to the Chelyabinsk Regional Court. The first deputy prosecutor of the Chelyabinsk region approved the indictment.

On August 13, 2009, information appeared that Alexander Barkashov, the leader of Russian National Unity, according to Barkashev, had registered as a candidate in the elections for the post of head of the Klishinskoye municipality of the Ozersky district of the Moscow region. The elections will take place on 11 October. In fact, Barkashov did not register, but only applied for registration as a candidate.

On August 13, 2009, it became known that a criminal case had been opened in the Vladimir region under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (inciting hatred or enmity) for posting on the Mein Kampf network. The investigation established that the extremist book was posted on the Internet by a 46-year-old resident of Vladimir. According to prosecutors, access to the publication is closed. It is not reported whether the suspect was detained.

On August 13, 2009, in Moscow, near the Kursky railway station, 21-year-old Nazi skinhead Vasily Krivets (Tim), who escaped in October 2008 during an investigative experiment, was detained. Krivets was on the federal wanted list on suspicion of committing 15 neo-Nazi murders in Moscow in 2007-2008. The Nazi skinhead was detained at the train station from which he was planning to leave for Ukraine. The detainee is in custody.
