The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tatarstan considers anti-fascists an extremist group
On January 19, 2010, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Tatarstan, Asgat Safarov, stated that extremist groups are of great concern to law enforcement agencies. In particular, he put the anti-fascist movement on a par with officially banned (fairly or not) organizations: “Now we are more concerned not with purely criminal groups, but with those sprouts of extremism that manifest themselves among the youth, these are the same skinheads, nazbols, RNE, antifas and others".
