In the Moscow region, a temple - a monument of federal significance - is used as a garage
In February 2010, it became known that Abbot Sergiy (Voronkov), the abbot of the Holy Dormition Joseph-Volotsky Monastery, sent an appeal to the Prosecutor General's Office with a request to remove the garage from the building of the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin in the village of Shestakovo, Volokolamsk district. In 1995, this temple built in 1819 was recognized as an architectural monument of federal significance.

Natives of Central Asia were killed in Moscow
On February 9, 2010, two murders of natives of Central Asia were committed in the south of Moscow. The first murder was committed around 20:00. The body of an 18-year-old citizen of Kyrgyzstan was found in the entrance of a house on Chongarsky Boulevard. The deceased suffered stab wounds to the neck and left forearm.
