In the village of Kashino, Bogdanovichsky District, Sverdlovsk Region, a conflict arose over the St. Nicholas Church. In Soviet times, a state farm club was organized in a building built in 1849. In the early 1990s, the state farm went bankrupt, the building was bought by entrepreneur Oleg Stepanov. In 2009, he put the building up for sale, offering the Yekaterinburg diocese to buy it for 700,000 rubles.
