School history teacher turned out to be an anti-Semite
On June 8, 2010, a 27-year-old history teacher was tried in Kozelsk, Kaluga Region, who was accused of inciting national and religious hatred (Part 1, Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Law enforcement agencies of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug announced their intention to detain the former Bishop of Chukotka Diomede
On July 2, 2010, an employee of the investigative committee at the district prosecutor’s office came to the home church of defrocked Bishop Diomede (Dzyuban) of Chukotka in the village of Beringovsky, Chukotka Autonomous Okrug. Suspects of 30 racist attacks detained in Moscow
On June 30, 2010, law enforcement agencies in Moscow detained four members of a group suspected of committing about 30 attacks on people motivated by ethnic hatred. A fifth suspected gang member managed to escape. Young people chose victims with a “non-Slavic appearance” from among passers-by, tracked them down and then attacked them, beating and sometimes stabbing them. The personal belongings of the victims were taken by the criminals.
