St. Petersburg priest does not want to pray for the Fatherland due to “massive election violations”
On December 8, 2011, it became known about the decision of the St. priest Nikolai Savchenko, acting Rector of the Exaltation Church on Gatchina street (the former ROCOR courtyard), to revive the reading of the prayer "For the salvation of Russia", excluding from it the words “Our Fatherland is from any atheist and their power freedom." According to the priest, this decision was made by him in connection with "the latest mass election violations in Russia" and is not official church position.
