The head of the Orsk branch of the MGER was warned for reporting on the laying of flowers at the grave of Hungarian prisoners of war on the eve of February 23. On April 15, 2021, the prosecutor of the Orenburg region responded to a request from State Duma deputy from the Communist Party Valery Rashkin about the action, during which flowers were laid at the grave of Hungarian prisoners of war.

The court arrested Khabarovsk priest Andrei Vinarsky for participating in a rally in support of Navalny for 25 days. The ruling bishop then banned the priest from serving. On May 13, 2021, it became known that the court found the priest of the Birobidzhan diocese Andrei Vinarsky guilty under Part 8 of Art.

The court of appeal commuted the punishment of another Jehovah's Witness from Birobidzhan from a small fine to a suspended sentence. On May 12, 2021, the court of the Jewish Autonomous Region satisfied the prosecutor’s appeal and toughened the punishment for Svetlana Monis, a follower of the teachings of Jehovah’s Witnesses, by sentencing her to two and a half years of suspended liberty with one year of restraint of liberty.

A resident of Vyshny Volochok received a suspended sentence for xenophobic publications on social networks. On March 31, 2021, the Vyshnevolotsk Interdistrict Court of the Tver Region delivered a sentence under Part 2 of Article 280 of the Criminal Code (public calls for extremist activities) to a resident of Vyshny Volochok.

Six residents of Maisky became defendants in cases initiated under Art. 282.2 of the Criminal Code. In May 2021, Jehovah's Witnesses reported on new criminal cases initiated in the town of Mayskoye in Kabardino-Balkaria. On May 7, 2020, a criminal case was initiated under Part 1 of Art. 282.2 of the Criminal Code (organization of the activities of an extremist organization) in relation to Kirill Gushchin.

A Jehovah's Witness from Birobidzhan was sentenced to a suspended sentence under Art. 282.2 of the Criminal Code. On May 13, 2021, the court of the Jewish Autonomous Region approved the verdict handed down on February 18 by the Birobidzhan District Court to a follower of the teachings of Jehovah's Witnesses Konstantin Guzev. He was found guilty under Part 2 of Art.

On May 12, 2021, the US Department of State released its annual report on religious freedom in the world. The authors of the report re-included Russia in number of countries where there are numerous and serious violations of this freedom.
