Yekaterinburg: racist murder of a graduate student from Gabon
In Yekaterinburg, a native of Africa was killed at a Burger King. On August 18, 2023, in Yekaterinburg, Sverdlovskaya, a 32-year-old black graduate student of the Ural Federal University, Francois Njelassili from Gabon, was killed. The attack occurred at 6 a.m. at Burger King. According to the acquaintance of the deceased, two drunken young people approached them and with the words “Oh, look, Negro, let's give him a chirkan” a knife wound was inflicted.

Volgograd authorities transferred the church building to the Catholic parish
On August 17, 2023, it became known about the decision of the Volgograd City Duma to transfer the building of the Catholic church on Prazhskaya Street to the ownership of the Catholic parish of St. Nicholas. During Soviet times, a cinema and a club operated in the building. In the 1990s, the building was transferred to the use of the Catholic community, and since 2008 the community has rented the temple building.
