An official from the Leningrad region lived on the minimum wage for a month
The head of the Chernovsky rural settlement of the Leningrad region, Vitaly Ovlakhovsky, conducted an experiment, living for a whole month on the amount of the minimum wage. From December 1, the official decided to build his diet exclusively according to the list of the food basket, which was established by the authorities. Using his example, Ovlakhovsky wanted to prove the need to increase it. By December 20, the official had run out of all his money—7,800 rubles.
