Doctors called on the State Duma to reject the bill that would prohibit transgender people from getting married
Doctors working with transgender people sent a collective appeal to the State Duma Committee on Health Protection, as well as to the Committee on Family, Women and Children, and to the Chairman of the Lower House, Vyacheslav Volodin. They called for the rejection of amendments to the Family Code that would ban transgender people from getting married, according to the LGBT group Coming Out. The appeal was supported by 25 specialists from St. Petersburg, Moscow, Kazan and other regions.
