Russia took 26th place in the ranking of countries in the world, but last in terms of “openness for business”
Russia was ranked 26th (between India and Thailand) in the 2018 US News & World Report Top 80 Countries in the World, jointly compiled with the Wharton Business School. During the year, Russia has risen in the ranking by one place. The top 5 are Switzerland, Canada, Germany, the UK and Japan. The last places belong to Serbia, Angola and Algeria. Countries were judged on nine criteria, including the level of military power and influence on world politics.
