The US Embassy in Iran issued a message advising its citizens to “immediately leave” the country. Last June, similar warnings preceded US strikes on nuclear facilities in the country. American citizens were advised to leave the country and “have a plan to leave Iran without relying on U.S. government assistance,” such as through land borders with Armenia or Turkey.
