Dear editors! Firstly, I would like to share with you good news. Often they tell me: Ivan, in vain you write letters in the Trinity Option - no one reads them anyway, you will not have any influence on anything. And here is not true, as the latest events show!

In a number of articles it is shown that some underwater species forming colonies are in non -jealous relationships - they compete on the principle of “stone, scissors, paper”. These relations have been known in biology for a long time ( Permogorsky, 2014 ). In this case, it is interesting that researchers do not only detect and describe them (yes, there is non -jealous competition here).

Alexander Shiplyuk (itam.nsc.ru) On August 5, it became known about the arrest of the director of the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (ITPM) of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Shiplyuk. Agriarctos Nikolovi is an ancient relative of modern pandas. Reconstruction from Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology (Velizar Simeonovski/Chicago) 6 million years ago, a relative of the current giant pandas wandered through ancient forests, but not in China, but in Bulgaria. Researchers who made this discovery studied the collection of fossilized teeth discovered in the 1970s. The teeth were found by the Bulgarian paleontologist Ivan Nikolov, now the species bears his name - Agriarctos Nikolovi .

A number of articles have shown that some underwater species that form colonies are in intransitive relationships - they compete according to the “rock, paper, scissors” principle. These relationships have been known in biology for quite a long time. What’s interesting in this case is that researchers don’t just discover and describe them (yes, there is intransitive competition here too).

Alexander Meshcheryakov By the way, I was born in 1951 in Moscow, and there I went to school No. 59 in Starokonyunny Lane. I lived well in the city, but happiness came in the summer. After a cold, crown, spring vitamin deficiency and school drill - three months of sun and freedom. Nowhere in the world there are no such long holidays for which the sciences taught to you are forgotten so firmly. But this time gave a feeling of such great happiness, which also could not be found anywhere.
