The position of the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) regarding the Russia-Ukraine war is, in public perception, essentially equated with the stance of Patriarch Kirill. However, beyond such perception lies the position of the vast church itself, which is the largest not only religious but also public organisation in a number of post-Soviet countries. What is this position in reality? To what extent does the ROC support the war?
