Every day, now a lot of people asks: "Well, how?!" And I am on the phone or in person in return something like "early yet."

So far, donor cells have not taken root and so far we must wait for this magical moment. It is very difficult to wait, to be honest, both to me and everyone around. Without even admitting the thought that it may not take root, all the patient who was made bone marrow transplantation has to go through nausea, a sharp drop in all blood indicators and most importantly - the complete absence of the immune system.

The mucous membranes of the mouth and pharynxes became inflamed, up to the appearance of foci of open wounds: with low platelets, all this does not want to drag on. As a result, even in order to swallow the pill, you have to make a ritual: rinse your mouth, take an injection of a strong painkillers and then only swallow. Naturally, there is no question of just drinking water or eating a soup now - doctors add everything they need with droppers.

And each time I compare this transplantation - donor cells - with the one that was made in Samara from my own. In terms of side effects, these are exactly the same manipulation. I had all the same problems as now. But, apparently, then I was still significantly younger and then swallow pills without pain relief and suck soup from a spoon, like the only source of necessary substances, was somehow easier. But a long treatment, which took place without final success, greatly exhausted me physically. And now, when the doctors, going into the ward, tell me: “Yes, you look much better than in our past meeting!” - I smile and mumble: "Still, because the last time I was in intensive care."

Is it difficult to go through transplantation? Difficult. It is even more difficult not to let everything in ashes after its completion until the body's immunity is restored. Often, people, having felt even a minimal improvement (minimal, but so long -awaited!), Knock down the regime, diet and burn in front of the doctors very quickly. Therefore, it is important to be able to carry through transplantation a good share of self -irony as a means of protection from yourself, a fool of a loved one. And good discipline is needed, because now the conditions of the hospital are kept from reckless behavior, but upon exit all hope will remain on a cold mind. In elementary school for discipline, I always put three three ... But Dr. Demin in Ronz described me as an "exclusively disciplined patient." Will it be now?
