A holy place is never empty: as soon as I reduced the risk of dying from cancer, letters came from my homeland with a promise to “break my head on my return.” The fact is that I was among the "national traitors" (as the president succinctly described us) on a special site - right between Nemtsov and Makarevich. The authors of the site really did not like my feeling, "as if many of my fellow citizens were bitten by a rabid dog, and now they are raging themselves."

It must be admitted that I wrote this phrase not even about the calls to start a war with Ukraine that sounded then - it was just one of the plots. I wrote about the growth of hysteria in society, about intolerance for other people's opinions, about the inability to accept objective successes and objectively evaluate defeats. He even started it specifically with criticism of those who criticize the Sochi Olympics. But my reasoning did not fit well into the now dominant cult of pride ... I called for generosity, and in the comments it was explained to me that disinterestedness and condescension are harmful character traits.

Because of this story, I found myself in opposition to a huge number of people. Some of the people who donated to me for cancer treatment wrote letters like this: “Oh, how did you talk, curry favor with the Americans so that they treat you?! If I had known that you were like that, I would never have transferred money to you!” I was even taken aback... It turns out that people decided to unite not for a daring attempt to conquer death, but for hiring me as a conductor of their political preferences. And in the bottom line, maybe I destroyed the lymphoma, but I didn’t live up to political expectations!

Now I’m reading the news: they write that in response to sanctions against Russia, the government is considering a plan to ban the purchase of foreign-made equipment by medical institutions ... These are, for example, tomographs and PET, which are needed in the treatment of cancer, and they are produced by companies such as Simens and Phillips. Apparently, this should also somehow increase patriotism. And here I am again forced to protest, betraying the “national interests”: after all, even in the USA, all the tomographs that I saw were of German and Dutch production.

It turned out that I first think about the health of living real people and already in the tenth place about geopolitical interests. You can break my head for this on my return, you can refuse support with cancer treatment ... I'm afraid I still won't get better.
