I am Russian, my roots are northern, all my relatives on my mother’s side come from the Arkhangelsk region, that’s why I returned here. I moved to Ukraine at the end of 1990. Before that, we lived on Sakhalin, where I studied, and after graduation I was drafted into the army. While I was serving, my mother retired and moved to Ukraine, and after demobilization I went to see her. Until 2000, I had a Soviet passport, until I had to change it to a Ukrainian one.
