1907 Tiflis expropriation
110 years ago, on June 25, 1907, a cash-in-transit carriage was robbed in Tiflis, organized by the Bolsheviks, led by Joseph Dzhugashvili (Stalin). The raiders, led by Simon Ter-Petrosyan (Kamo), seized 250,000 rubles, killed two policemen, three Cossacks, and wounded 11 more people, including passers-by. This bloody robbery took place a few days after the London Congress of the RSDLP, which banned expropriations.
