Georgian President Vetoes 'Foreign Agents' Law
Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili has vetoed the law “On Transparency of Foreign Influence,” which was adopted earlier this week. She said this at a briefing, and shared an excerpt from it on Facebook. “This law, in its essence, in its spirit, is a Russian law that contradicts our Constitution and all European standards and, thus, represents an obstacle on our European path,” Zurabishvili said. She stated that the veto would be passed to parliament today.
