A citizen of Uzbekistan was sentenced to life imprisonment for the terrorist attack in Stockholm
A court in Sweden has sentenced Uzbek citizen Rakhmat Akilov to life imprisonment for a terrorist attack he committed in April 2017, reports The Local. He was found guilty of killing five people, 119 attempted murders and terrorism. Recall that on April 7, 2017, Akilov drove into the crowd on Drottninggatan, the main pedestrian street in Stockholm. On the same day, the police detained Akilov as a suspect in the attack, he later admitted his guilt.
