The trial of the murder of a Syrian student began in St. Petersburg
On November 16, 2004, the Kuibyshev Federal Court of St. Petersburg began hearings on the case of the murder on March 13, 2004 at the Nevsky Prospekt metro station of Abdul Kadir Badawi, a first-year student of LETI from Syria. The administrator of one of the city's firms, Valentin Bulanov, is accused of killing a student, who, in the company of accomplices unidentified by the investigation, shouting "Russia!" beat the victim, and then pushed under a train approaching the platform.
