On April 4, 2006, in the final issue of the Vesti-Mari El program, a story was shown that in early April, anti-fascist graffiti appeared on the streets of Yoshkar-Ola (near the central market of the city) - the inscriptions "We are for Russia without skins" and stylized crossed out images of Hitler and a skinhead-Spartak fan. The pathos of the plot shown in the news is that there is no need to spoil the appearance of the city with any wall paintings.

From September 1, 2006, in all Ryazan schools, as part of the variable part of the program, the teaching of "Fundamentals of Orthodox Culture" is introduced. According to the head of the department of education, science and youth of the administration of Ryazan, Vladimir Zhivikin, all 72 schools in the city have expressed such a desire. Until now, this subject existed in 6 schools. The course will be taught on the basis of A. Borodina's educational and methodological complex.

On April 21, 2006, a meeting of the Presidium of the Public Council under the Governor of St. Petersburg was devoted to issues of combating xenophobia and extremism. The head of the St. Petersburg City Internal Affairs Directorate, Mikhail Vanichkin, issued a statement in which he assessed the attention to the problem of extremism in St. Petersburg as a political provocation against the city. At the same time, some of the statements of the main city policeman looked rather strange.

On April 20, 2006, in the Krasnogorsk district of the Moscow region, police officers confiscated cameras from groups of the Rossiya and NTV television channels that were filming the scene of the fire. According to Interfax, three police officers approached the journalists and demanded to hand over the cameras to them. When the journalists refused, the police seized the equipment by force. On April 20, 2006, in Rostov-on-Don, 6 National Bolsheviks seized the Sberbank building and demanded compensation for citizens' deposits. The protesters were detained. On the same day, a trial took place: five NBP activists received 13 days and 13 days in prison under Art. 20.1 and 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.

On April 19, 2006, the State Duma of the Russian Federation approved in the first reading the amendments prepared in connection with the adoption of the laws "On Combating Terrorism" and "On Ratification of the Council of Europe Convention on the Prevention of Terrorism." 419 deputies voted in favor, 5 against and 2 abstained. During the discussion of the bill, the deputies also expressed critical remarks.

On April 19, 2006, 10 activists of the National Bolshevik Party in Volzhsky, Volgograd Region, were summoned for questioning to the city prosecutor's office, where they learned that a criminal case had been opened on the initiative of the FSB under Art. 280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("public calls for extremist activity"). The case was initiated on the fact of holding a sanctioned procession on April 5, 2006 in Volzhsky.

On the fact of the pogrom at the cemetery in Gus-Khrustalny, Vladimir region, a criminal case was initiated under Art. 244 (desecration of the bodies of the dead and their burial places) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. A 15-year-old schoolboy was detained on suspicion of desecrating graves. The Department of Internal Affairs of the Vladimir Region told Interfax that "the detainee does not deny the fact of vandalism.

Muslim public organizations of the Nizhny Novgorod region have prepared a letter to be sent to the Public Chamber and the Legislative Assembly of the region with a request to respond to the editorial policy of the local television company "Volga". Muslims point out that since Vladimir Kiriyenko became the channel's director, the TV company has begun a program of "planned corruption of the younger generation" by showing "pornographic films" in the evenings.

On April 18, 2006, the Supreme Court rejected the cassation appeal and recognized as lawful the Moscow Regional Court's verdict of acquittal (dated February 16, 2006) in the case of former policeman Valery Blokhin, who was accused of attempting to assassinate Yevgeny Yatsentyuk, a prosecutor in the city of Dolgoprudny near Moscow. Earlier - at the end of February 2006 - an acquittal was appealed in another case (obstruction of justice and coercion to give or evade giving evidence) against V.

On the night of April 19-20, 2006 in Kirov, during a joint operation by officers of the Organized Crime Control Department, the Federal Security Service and the Criminal Investigation Department of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Kirov Region, 6 young people aged 16-17 were detained posting leaflets with extremist content depicting fascist symbols. During the event, about 100 copies of handicraft extremist literature were confiscated.

On April 21, 2006, in Tula, the police dispersed an unsanctioned protest rally by the workers of the Yasnogorsk Machine-Building Plant. From 20 to 25 people were detained. About 30 protesters came to the building of the city administration, unfurled a poster with the slogan "The entire salary of officials to the workers!" and demanded a meeting with the governor of the region.

In mid-April 2006, an act of vandalism was committed at a Jewish cemetery in Omsk. Swastikas were painted on ten tombstones with black indelible paint. The message about this was received by the local synagogue by phone during the Pesach celebrations.
