On April 2, the Adler District Court of Sochi sentenced businessman Gennady Bragin. He was found guilty. 214 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (vandalism), because in 2006, he ordered to demolish the cross at the construction site of an Orthodox church in the village of Aibga, Adlersky district, Krasnodar Territory. In January 2009, Bragin was found guilty, but released from liability due to the statute of limitations for the lawsuit.
