Orthodox Christians tried to disrupt pickets in defense of Pussy Riot
On June 20, 2012, one-man pickets were held near the building of the Tagansky District Court of Moscow, where a meeting was held on the issue of extending the arrest of members of the punk band Pussy Riot. On some posters it was written "Obscurantism, know the law!". Among the picketers were Christians. One of the opponents of the punk action, an Orthodox Christian, knocked posters out of the picketers' hands with a stick. Several young people doused them with kvass.
