On July 4, 2013, at around 23:00 in Ulan-Ude, on Darkhanskaya Street, two unidentified men stabbed a homeless man to death. A man was standing outside a store drinking alcohol when two men approached him and stabbed him 4 times. The homeless man died on the spot from his injuries. According to eyewitnesses, the criminals crossed the road, then left through the yards. According to investigators, the crime may have been committed motivated by social hostility.

On July 8, 2013, in the editorial office of Moskovsky Komsomolets, a press conference law about the feelings of believers, which came into force on July 1.
