A football player was convicted in Moscow in connection with the murder of a native of Kyrgyzstan.
On July 9, 2013, 28-year-old football player Mikhail Rekudanov was detained in Moscow, accused of murdering a native from Kyrgyzstan on May 23. In December 2013, the court found Mikhail Rekudnov guilty under Part 1 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code (murder) and sentenced to 6 years in prison. Rekudanov, who was wanted, turned himself in to law enforcement agencies. Previously, he was charged in absentia under Art. 105 of the Criminal Code (murder). The investigation is asking for his arrest.
