September 30, 2013 at Petrozavodsk on Meretskov Street building of the newspaper "Komsomolskaya Pravda" in Karelia was desecrated with swastika and inscriptions "Sieg Heil!". Swastika, fascist slogan and inscriptions inciting national hatred appeared on walls and a sign with information about the newspaper. In the hostel where the publication is located, also live migrants from neighboring countries. Employees editors called the police.

In autumn 2013, a court in Kamchatka sentenced a local resident to a fine of 50,000 rubles for distributing extremist videos on the Internet. On October 1, 2013, the press service of the Russian Federal Security Service for the Pacific Fleet announced that engineer of the Kamchatka branch of OAO Oboronenergo, a resident Alexander Korabelnikov, of the city of Yelizovo, was found guilty under Part 1 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (inciting national hatred).

At the end of September 2013, the Elista City Court of the Republic of Kalmykia fined a 23-year-old local Internet user for posting a photo of a car with a swastika on the hood on the VKontakte social network. A 23-year-old resident of the Tselinny district of Kalmykia was found guilty under Part 1 of Art. 20. 3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (public display of Nazi paraphernalia). The defendant did not appear in court, but admitted his guilt in the alleged offense.

In September 2013, from racist and neo-Nazi motivated attacks injured five people in St. Petersburg, Trans-Baikal Territory and Novosibirsk Region. Total number of deaths from racist violence since the beginning of the year 17 people and 115 people were injured, 2 received serious death threats. Racist attacks were recorded in 28 regions of Russia. Public activity of the far right in September was significantly higher than the summer level.

In the Moscow region, a man hit a Jehovah's Witness preacher walking around an apartment building with a butt of an axe. On September 11, 2013, in Shchelkovo, Moscow Region, two women, Jehovah's Witnesses, walked around an apartment building, talking with residents on religious topics. One of the tenants insulted the believers and hit one of the preachers on the head with the butt of an axe. The victim sought medical attention and filed a complaint with the police.

During September, the police detained Jehovah's Witnesses nine times during their field service. Throughout September 2013, law enforcement officers detained Jehovah's Witnesses during their field service in various regions. Such cases were noted in Barnaul, the village of Perevolotsky in the Orenburg region, the village of Slavyanka in the Primorsky Territory, Tambov and Chelyabinsk. Two similar incidents each occurred in Volgorechensk, Kostroma Region, and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.

A resident of the Perm Territory burst into a worship service of Jehovah's Witnesses with insults and threats. He later returned to the building and soiled the door with filth. On September 5, 2013, in Krasnokamsk, Perm Territory, an aggressive young man broke into a worship service of Jehovah's Witnesses. He shouted insults at the crowd and threatened to blow up the building. On September 8, the same man again approached the building and soiled the door with the filth he had brought with him.

In the Orenburg region, the police conducted searches in two homes of Jehovah's Witnesses. The police explained their actions by checking extremist organizations. September 6, 2013 police officers of the village of Perevolotsky Orenburg region conducted a search in the house of Jehovah's Witnesses. During the search, they confiscated religious literature.

In Chelyabinsk, the police raided the homes of those suspected of distributing Hizb ut-Tahrir leaflets and hanging banners with quotations from the Koran. On October 1, 2013, it became known that searches were carried out in Chelyabinsk as part of a criminal case under Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (inciting hatred or enmity). During the searches, leaflets, religious literature, laptops and flash cards with video and audio materials were seized.

In autumn 2013, a criminal case was initiated in Kalmykia against an Internet user for posting extremist video files on the VKontakte social network. In November, the case was referred to the court for consideration on the merits.
