The Kirov authorities decided to erect a monument to the royal family on the territory of the monastery
Following the results of public hearings, deputies of the Kirov Duma recommended that a monument be erected, which caused discontent among the inhabitants of the city, on territory of the monastery. On June 18, 2018, public hearings were held in Kirov on the question of erecting a monument to Nicholas II and his family in the city. Considered seven options, the majority voted for the proposal to erect a monument on the territory of one of the city's temples.
