LGBT activist and artist Yulia Tsvetkova topped the ranking of the most influential figures in Russian art according to Artguide.
LGBT activist, artist from Komsomolsk-on-Amur Yulia Tsvetkova topped the top 50 most influential figures in Russian art in 2020. The rating was compiled by Artguide magazine. Tsvetkova topped the rating after the director of the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art, Anton Belov, asked to give his place to the artist. The artist, one of the founders and mentors of the School of Engaged Art in St. Petersburg, Dmitry Vilensky, insisted on this in his letter to Artguide.
